Toy Story 4’s First Full Length Trailer Brings The Gang Back Together With Some New Friends

The trailer for the June release takes viewers on a Forky-centric adventure. When a new toy called “Forky” joins Woody and the gang, a road trip alongside old and new friends reveals how big the world can be for a toy.

Disney has released a new, official Toy Story 4 trailer that offers a more complete look at the plot for the highly anticipated and long-in-the-works sequel, along with a new poster. The follow-up continues the beloved Pixar franchise after the concluding events of Toy Story 3, which found Andy giving his toys away to youngster Bonnie.

In Toy Story 4, the characters embark on an all-new adventure that begins Bonnie’s room, which involves new character Forky—a spork who’s been made into a toy, and who now faces an existential crisis. Tony Hale of Veep and Arrested Development fame voices the new character.

The new film finds Woody, Buzz and the rest of Andy’s old toys are enjoying a fulfilling, play-filled existence with their new owner, Bonnie, who introduces a toy of her own making to the group: Forky, a spork (despite the name) outfitted with googly eyes, pipe cleaner arms and popsicle stick feet. Forky, however, lacks the joie de vivre of the the other toys – perhaps because of his Frankenstein origins – and during a family road trip, he flings himself out of a moving car as he screams, “I am not a toy – I was made for soup, salad, maybe chili, and then the trash!”

Always the hero, Woody jumps out after Forky and the two set out on a long journey that leads them to an antiques shop, where Woody finds his old friend, Bo Peep. At the store, Bo introduces Woody and Forky to a magical world made just for toys, making it all the harder to leave when Buzz and the rest of the gang shows up to rescue them

Forky makes waves as the new addition to the Toy Story franchise: The spork named “Forky” by Bonnie faces an existential crisis in Toy Story 4. The new character is inspiring thoughtful analysis from fans.

Bo Peep has a new look for Toy Story 4: After 20 years, Bo Peep is making her return to the Pixar franchise, voiced by Annie Potts.
