John Adams Morgan was born on September 17, 1930. He is a sailor of American origin, Olympic champion, and also the founder of philanthropic organization Morgan Foundation. His father’s name is Henry Sturgis Morgan who co-founded Morgan Stanley and his grandfather J P Morgan founded J P Morgan & Co.

John Adam was born at Oyster Bay to Henry Morgan and Catherine Frances Lovering Adams. His mother was the daughter of Charles Francis Adams III who worked as the US secretary of the Navy under Hoover. His mother is also a direct heritage of two US presidents – John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
